Hi,
can anyone tell me if an s reg 1.0 12v corsa is standard obd2 compliant, i've got a bog standard elm232 tool and a genuine renault clip with integrated scan tool and they both report no comms with the car. I'm getting random missfires, loss of power and intermittent mil lamp on the car but am unsure about the diagnostics( is it a non standard car or is the failure to communicate something to do with the fault?)
Thanks for any help.

sounds like the prblem i had on mine. I believe ITs OBD1 as i use a snap on scanner at work. the fault on min was the air flow meter.

Get it on Vauxhall Tech 2. If your EML doesn't stay on for more than 20 seconds or something, no faults will be logged.

looks like I go t some sort of problem with the car here just to be sure can anyone give me the exact protocol that the 1.0 3cyl uses to talk to the diagnostics, My clip autodetects loads and list them all so I could be sure it's not just an odd ball before I investigate the car and start spending money !
Thanks all.
