ok i have a problem i have a corsa 1.4 sri 16v and it has been lowerd 40mm all round and its riding on 17" momo alloys whitch r rubbing on the arch of my car when i go over bumps even at quite low speeds im not shure if i need 2 put smaller set of alloys on or raise the car so its lowerd 30mm or even smaller have a look at it c that you think i should do

You've spelt ecotec wrong.

And your alloys are probably the wrong offset, as a member on here, has his car -60mm all round, on 17s, and no scrubbing

Mine was dropped 40mm on 17's and it would only rub occassionaly. Maybe get ur arches rolled, or go for rubber band tyres. To be honest i think 17's are too big for a corsa, so if u fancy a new set of wheels go for 16's

I was down 60 on 17's and only had scrubbing on large bumps, had the rear arches flared and rolled though

Depending on the offset he may have to hammer quite far out and it would ultimately look pants if done wrong.

Debolt the arches and remove some of the metal lip then bond your plastic arches back on and see how it goes.

I assume this is the same car as the one in the topic started by tryfan

Just take a wheel off and look for the offset of the wheel (will be stamped into the metal somewhere) then let us know and go from there.........
