Well, I read the WIP threads every other day and enjoy seeing what others have done with there motors, so figured it was time to get my WIP on here!

Well, after stupidly losing my license for a year I purchased a bog standard faded red 1.2 ls, this lasted me two weeks before the clutch exploded all over the dual carriageway on a journey back from picking up some new tyres for some alloys I had just bought it.

Then came a little red Fiat Cinquecento Sporting, this served me well for a couple of months but after losing third gear completely and some costly repairs, I hit a massive puddle one night and rolled it onto its side. It was at this point I decided it was time to move on.

I missed having a Corsa and I always preferred them over any other small hatch, so I decided to buy a slightly better model than my first and hope that it would last me a little longer. I very quickly chose this:

Vauxhall Corsa Sport 1.4 16v

I was very happy with it, it had a little more power than the Cinq and I'd wanted another Corsa ever since I broke my first one. This one was a good price (or so I thought) and had just had a new head and engine serviced, it also came with some mods!

The mod list is as follows:

Drilled and grooved 2ltr discs
15" Cav Cesaro alloys with low pros
Lowered about 30mm
3" single exhaust backbox
K&N induction
Blue interior LED conversion

Unfortunately it also came with:

Lexus lights
Chrome LED washer jets
16v badges stuck on rear pillars
Light brows
Some funny mirrors

Here's a couple of photos when I got it home:

So I was dead chuffed! I drove it round for a few days and it was great. But inevitably something soon went wrong.

After a night at the pub with my local cruise site I went to go home and my key snapped in my drivers door, locking me out of the car holding half of the only key that I owned for the car! It stayed outside the pub for a few days and a wad of cash later and I had two new keys. Unfortunately the snapped peice of key still remain in my lock, meaning I have to open the damn thing from the passengers side (you have no idea how annoying this is).

Anyway, next came some modifications (if you can call them that). First thing that needed doing was the replace the shite lexus lights with some standardsm, this improved the look of the car a lot! Then the LED washer jets were removed and the standard items plumbed in.

Then two weeks after purchasing the car:

Not good... blue smoke over all three lanes of the carriageway and a car that no longer starts! It emptied 5 litres of water in 30 seconds! So now the car was put on my drive, where it has been sitting for a while now until I could work out what I wanted to do.

Whilst it was sitting there I put Punto rear wiper on it, and replaced a component in my sunroof which I noticed had gone wrotten:

Then, yesterday night - one road trip later:

This thread is to be continued....

Haven't updated this for aages! So here goes:

Basically since the first post the car is back on the road with the 1.6 GSI lump running!

I fitted some leather fronts from a Calibra:

And have since also trimmed the door cards in leather and stripped the rear out!

At this point I got some cool photos taken of it:

Then I fitted a front lower splitter (standard).

This week I've had a straight through center section fitted:

And I finally sorted out my brakes as they were bad:

The new ones are called Rotor Discs and look awesome and after testing them I can confirm they work just as good as they look!

Yea I've been meaning to sort the pretensioner... need to get a leather gear gaitor too as my current one doesn't fit properly! Could really do with some new car mats as well... really let the team down.

Project has gone on hold for a little while now. A lady pulled out in front of me last night in Rushden, causing me to swerve round her and smash into the curb (narrowly missing a lamp post). Witnesses say there were a lot of sparks. When I rolled to a stop, the gear box oil pouring from underneath the car evidently wasn't a good sign.
