I need a bit of FREE software where I can make a video slideshow with captions and music, which isn't Windows Movie Maker (I have that, it wouldn't save the video)

It also needs to be able to speed up individual pictures so they're about 1/4 second long, and the rest are normal.

Basically, I need Windows Movie Maker, but from a different company

Any suggestions?

Open Office has a powerpoint quivilent (SP?) Its completly free. And can do everything powerpoint does.
