i cant install it because im not an admin on our network, is there any way i can get around this without knowingthe admin user and password?

I dont know anyway around your problem...but wont your technicians do this for you?

no they wont is there any way i can install it on my usb key and run it from there does any1 know?

I think you'll probably come up with the same problem.

I take it you've tried the web route i.e installing it directly from the Adobe site?

ive tried it off the adobe website, ive tried downloading it from other websites, i know i can run programes off our usb keys because my workmate uses skype off his usb key

Ah rite. Will be worth giving that a go then.

Sounds like the only option left to me. You might find that your admin people have disabled ActiveX as part of the user policy though....even if you do manager to install it.

tbh mate, theres probably a reason you're not allowed to install it. if you need it for work then explain it to admin or a manager etc

you dont have to be a network admin.

try making yourself an admin on a workstation.

control panel, user accounts etc.

You may find that your admin people have disabled active x controls, in which case you got no chance.

if you're on the network, you need to login as an admin to change the permissions on the local machine iirc

if your lucky local admin will have no password, or when they setup xp you need to create a new user if thats still there it will be admin on the local machine.

yeah, when logging in, log into the local machine, not the network. have the username as admin and have no password, then you can give yourself permissions
