I'd get one. One of many possibilites when I sell the Cupra. Would be a 2.0 turbo though.

A mate has the 1.8 16v Linea Rossa and its lovely, interior is awesome- black and red leather.
Would probably prefer a 1.8 but it seems decent value for money, hopefully speak to the guy later and sort something out for tomorrow

only pain in the arse is u have to change the whole hub as the sensors cant be bought seperate.

I had a 1.8 SE2 coupe which I've now sold to my brother. It handled well once it was lowered on Eibach shocks and springs. It was a nice car but was a bit to sensible for me so I bought a VX220 to replace it

id steer clear of the 2.2 tbh the timing chains are crap and break alot, the 1.8s are a better engine and theres not much performance wise either

where you getting this info from? the 2.2 is one of the strongest engines vaux have made. When they first came out, yes, there was a prob with the timing chains and this was fixed under a re-call.
only negative point as i've said before about the 2.2 is the fuel consumption... a 2.0 turbo is actualy easier on the fuel than the 2.2.

I've got a 2.2 Coupé, the early ones had smaller oil nozzles to keep the chain lubricated which could block up, this would starve the chain of oil and in extreme cases could cause it to break.
On the newer models (Y reg and later I believe) Vauxhall started to put larger nozzels on and this cured the problem.
It's rumoured that GM did actually change the smaller ones to the bigger ones when they went in for their service (at a main dealer) but the owners weren't informed - kind of like a recall and fix under warrenty without having to call it a recall and fix.
You could get the chassis and reg number and speak to GM and see if it's been done, I asked about mine and they said they have no record of it although mine has been fine (it's an early model) and it was always main dealer serviced for the first few years of it's life.

Not true at all, the worst most of them will do is have an occasional rattle upon start-up, I've never actually heard of one breaking - just rumours of it.
