Where can i get these from and will it stop the engine from sounding really tappy on tickover and also when it revs. When you drive it you can't really hear them but on tickover is annoying. If its not lifters then what could it be?

Cheers in advance

expensive

even more so when you have a c16xe because there is 16 of them

..you can on the other hand clean yours by taking them out and flushing them with diesel and giving them a squeeze.

Just had a look on ebay and found some for £50 but don't know if they are the right ones. Also don't trust ebay engine parts

avoid ebay cheapies, they dont last.

I always use newman lifters, as used in my engine. I keep a few sets in stock as well, far cheaper than vaux.

buying second hand lifters is a complete waste of time, nothing to say they wont start to fail after a few miles.

Second hand are usually fine tbh.
Just take them apart and clean them in carb cleaner.
Then re-oil.
Be fine.

Even removing your old ones, cleaning them, and refit usually sorts the tapping noise

unless its the spring in the lifters that has failed, which it often is.
