fitted my depos today and look really smart but when i put my car in the garage tonight they dont seem to be as bright as the standard headlights that were in before hand.

when i first got them and opened i noticed they seem to have a metal surround on the inside where the bulb sits behind,is this right?

yes thats the thing which reflects the beam back into the reflective part

i have fitted brighter bulbs.so i take it thats just the way they are suppose to be then?
