heya mymot is due on friday, was just wondering what sort of thingsi can do to get the car ready and what the most comon faults could be
its a 1.4 16v sport with 76k miles on the clock.
i know it may be imposible to predict without seeing the car and stuff but any help apreciated

What modifications have u got.. like obvious ones that may make it fail?
like not having a cat.. and are all the lights standard/legal etc..
other wise as long as it it rusting to hell and all the lights work ok.. and you can stop..

no realmodsthat sticlout just lexus bk lights, all work fine i have a rattle when sittinidlefor a few mins but thats about it realy, will it fail iof the zorst is blowin? soundslike it mite b

Blowing exhaust may hinder the emissions test so defo get that sorted mate

as long as its little and not obstructing the drivers view...i.e. not on the right hand side of the screen. something like that.

enything more than the size of a 20p will fail i think, and it cant be within the o/s wiper arms sweep.
best bet for when you tak it for its MOT is take it on a run and spank the nuts off it, get it really hot and thrash it, will clear anything thats in there and hopefully pass the mot.
my 1.4 16v was a begger to pass on its mot, had its exhaust blowing and hego/lamda sensor was on its way out.

Check the basics mate; Bulbs, wipers, tyres, fluids inc. screen wash, exhaust (blows etc), Windscreen (cracks etc)
