Sure most of us knew it was going on, but seems to be getting more common.

their is a new system out there that could easily replace the standard 4 digit pin number and could never be seen by cameras or shoulder surfers and used.....but banks are too cheap to implement it due to the cost of putting the pin system out there.

What are they doing with the pins, putting them in a word document?

What a waste of an article.

no, this is a system that could also be used online when purchasing stuff from websites (Paypal are running a test on it at the moment). Im not sure if I can give too many details, as is a company my Dads just invested in and dont know what details are out on the market place.

Involves having a number pad such as with pin codes, but they also have two other images on each key (such as a house, horse, tea pot, etc.). Your pin code could then be 'house, 2, tea pot, horse'. Each time you enter your pin code the images move about to different keys, so this means that the numbers you enter will be different each time and therefore impossible to figure out what your pin code is by shoulder surfing, key logging, etc.

There are lots of systems like that cosmo, well documented as well so you don't have to worry about your dads companies idea being stolen

it does sound more complicated than it really is If you saw it then would make perfect sense, and is just as easy to remember as a 4 digit code (they have some phycological study done about it from what I can remember of the business plan).
