ive been thinking this for a while, i currently work at renault as a apprentice mechanic, been there for 6 months now, and im unsure if its the rite thing for me too do.As much as i love my job, im struggleing to have enough money for me to spend on me taking away mobile phone bill, house board and petrol, im currently on £497 a month and im 18, i just dont feel motivated anymore to do the job because im not gaining anything just more knowledge or another chance doing the same thing. I wont be earning proper money until im 21 years old up until then i will be on apprentice wages and looking in to the future i know it will be even harder to cope with a rubbish wage...

im just looking for some ideas on what i should do, either look for another job or just stick with the one i have for a bit longer..

sorry about the essay

i earn a lot more than many of my mates who are 20/21 (im 18) and im working in a co-op for 6.10 an hour.

Im off to uni next year to do a 3 years photography honours degree where after i'll be able to get like 3 grand in a day for weddings etc
or magazine work for 20k-ish a year plus extra work

Do what you want to. only live once ey.

ive got a few ideas what i would want to do, at my old job even though it was a saturday job i loved selling in the summer i could sell thousands of pounds of garden furnitures to anyone that was just looking at it. Or there was customs and excise but for that i wouldnt know where to start to see if i could get a job in that

why not go to your local jobcentre?

even tho tramps use it too the people there are really helpful and can find you council jobs - my mates doing the towns gardening like on roundabout for 17k a year and he says its the best job he's had, good hours, involving work and surprisingly satisfying...
