parked in a empty motorbike car park, when to the pub, come back car clamped!!!!

then though, okay, pay the £40 or so and forget about it!

but no, £125 to release plus vat

so, jacked the car up, managed to access the wheel nuts just, removed the wheel, but chain was also around lower arm and drive shaft

grabbed the 13mm and was about to undo the bottom ball joint, then the big wankers turn up in the van, get out the van, look like about to fight me!

just said i was about to call them, but was making sure the clamp was secure!

and had to pay £141, i feel sick.

phoned 999 and told them what was happening and wanted them to tell me my rights!

then raced a 1.8t seat thing in a stress and kept up quite well, then went past time around the corners!

dont no what would of happened if i got the clamp off and drove away! prob come around my house

think im going to complain that they scratched my wheel and report there reg for speeding, wont achieve anything but will make me feel better

rant over

I have done this. In Hertford, got clamped, jacked the car up and got it off. Slung spare wheel on, drove home and theres still a steelie on the roof of my garage with a clamp on it.

If u can get the wheel clamp off you can take it to ur nearest plod shop and hand it in to the lost and found.

As long as u don't damage the clamp taking it off u can get away with it. If u damage the clamp its classed as 'criminal damage'.
