Right, got signed up and now decided to keep a thread of progress of "Project C20XE"

The car was purchased on 28-09-07 as a standard Corsa Diesel 1.7 Envoy. People are probably thinking Why the hell buy a diesel? Well I looked at loads of cars and got sick of looking, saw this on a forecourt a 1999 Corsa 1.7D for sale, an absolute minter with full service history taxed and MOT'd till August next year so I thought, I'll have it, can always change the engine

So here she is, the day I handed over the cash:

I actually never thought I would end up modifying at first but just got the bug

Soon debadged it and removed the wheel trims, fitted some clear side repeaters and a debadged front grill. Later fitted some 15" Ripspeed alloys:

Also got some new plates so I didn't have the dealers name all over them.

Fitted a Momo steering wheel, loads better! Chrome gear surround and some rev counter clocks. The rev counter does not work yet as they are petrol clocks and mine's a diesel. Will get them working when the C20XE engine is fitted.

Found a GSi spoiler in a breakers yard and colour coded mirrors - in my colour so bought them. Also replaced rear vauxhall badge for an Opel one:

So that's how she stands at the moment. Want to create stealth so outside will stay as is now.

Future plans:

C20LET conversion
Recaro seats
-60mm drop on PI kit
Maybe strip it out.
Exhaust + Filter (Once C20LET is fitted)

Hope you like the car and my project.

Cheers,

Craig

Well I have never noticed and you def can't tell when looking at the car so I ain't fussed. If it was well obvious I would never have bought it. I have owned it 2 months and if you'd never said out I wouldn't have thought about it.

There are instructions in the corsasport guides to removing the MFD. Real easy mate.

unplug MFD, remove 2 screws either side to remove the hood, then release the clips either side of the unit to allow removal of outer casing, then unscrew old lights and replace with new ones.

Hope this helps

Just got them from the local A1 Motorstores car shop.

The Dimmer switch does not work with LED's, just on the standard filaments bulbs.

Cheers.
