You put the seal around the glass as usual then run a piece of string all around the seal (the bit that would go against the metal) and leave one end of it on the inside, one on the outside.

Place the bottom of the window into place then pull the relevant end of the string and as it runs around, it pulls the seal out and pops the window in!

Windows on a Metro or a Mini aren't bonded in. Corsa ones are.

I am not refering to the windscreen.

Well how do you propose I pushed both rear quarter glasses out of my old GSI by lying on my back in the back and gently coaxing them out by pressing on them with the soles of my feet?

The front definately is, like my mates 325i sport which we took out by using some sort of fishing wire.

hmm, kinda needs to have some 2k high build on it and flatted as that wont cover any filler scratched in it or imperfections.
Go to the bodyshop, ask them to just high build the outside of it and guide coat it, get it back and wet flat it all of it and then take it for paint, will be about £25 more if they can put it in with another job but well worth it

Would i be able to do any of that myself?
although finding somewhere i can spray it myself would be a bit hard with current weather conditions tbf

Edit: NB i want to do as much of it as i can myself, im pretty annoyed at having to send it off for paint

My car is so faded it is practically white in some places (seriously) but it comes up mint when G3'd, t-cutted etc.

IME you get what you pay for on re-sprays, for £200 I would expect a prize turkey of a job.

im gewtting it done that cheap, because the guy's dad owns the bodyshop, and he's gonna spray it at night. Just for extra pocket money. Handy in a way.
