when im driving at about 3,900 revs theres a knocking sound coming from my engine and sometimes between 2,900 rpm aswell.
but if i am in nutral and rev it it doesnt do it.
i always let my car warm up before going past 3k, services it every 6 thousand miles with proper GM oil.
any help needed.

I had this in one of my old cars and never found the problem, it annoyed the life out of me, I always heard it but none of my passengers did lol.
Is it knocking from the block, head or engine mount etc?

i have no idea matey can only here it at certain revs, can only hear it inside the car.
i had the bonet up today and took the plastic cover off then reved it and it didnt make any knocking noises.
but when i drive it its there. only at certain revs.
engines on done 50k

its a bit of a pisser to diagnose eh.
could be something simple, check all your engine mounts and make sure they are still strong, engine could be rocking slightly.
could also be something not so simple tho, could be a bottom end knock like big end shells or somethin

It'll probably only do it when the engines under load. Hence why no knocking when you rev it sat still.

dean= so what you saying bottom end?
only had the engine put in in march aswel, service it every 6k aswell
