i did the faces on a honda alloy wheel with a DA with 1500 pads then polished it up to a finnish and it turned out pretty good, dont know how the laquer would go on or if you would laquer it without polishing first

its really dodgy stuff, first off for the basic stuff its about £100 a litre and also it is sprayed over a cured black.

Also if there is any shit in the bonnet and you try to polish it you can see the scratches.

would maybe look good but for the cost im not sure it would be worth it, maybe get a secong hand bonnet, DA it down with like a 180 then go 320, 400, 500, 800 and then 1000 wet it and then laquer it, im 70% sure the laquer would stick to it but noty sure about oxidation of it!

A local chav specialist bodyshop near me did an FTO, it turned out like a matt silver.

Not cheap to do either, that M3, cost about £10,000

Not acid, but you can get chrome effect paint. It's fucking hard to apply and all the cars I have seen which have it on them have looked crap.

That's what the first generation of chrome paints were. But the second generation of paints are more complicated pearl effects.
