looking at this car on ebay, all looking good, says it runs fine, but has a problem with the "cam shaft sencor" :S, shall i still go ahead and buy it? is it easy to fix and how much would it cost roughly? is it affecting/damaging the rest of the engine? thanks, josh

not that hard and no shouldnt damage anything else on the engine but i would want some sort of proof that that is the fault and it aint something else mate

i bought a camshaft sensor brand new off ebay for a xe only cost 30 quid

if its a vectra xev, its £90 for the sensor and about an hour to wire it in..
common problem.

when you go to view the car why not do the paperclip test and see if thats defo the problem.
