When i drive at speeds of 60+ my steering wheel shakes. Not too badly, but bad enough to make me hold on tight!! I was wondering wot was up?? i wud be greatful if any1 could tell me

Most likely your needin your wheels re-aligned and the tracking sorted.
Have you lowered your car and/or put bigger wheels on?

i haven't lowered my car but wen i bought it, the lad had out 15" alloys on - so do u rekon thats wot the cause is? also if i let the steering wheel go, it goes to the left. is that something 2 do with the tracking?

It might be.. has the car had a bump in the past, might have knocked the tracking..
Take it to a good garage and get them to check your alignment and tracking.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand the wheel balancing my friend! if the wheels out of balance the vibrations go through all of the mechanisms and into that little wheel u hang on when goin around corners! ps even out of balance real wheels make a diff

I have exactly the same problems since i put my 16's on.
I need new front tyres soon so im hoping when i get them on that it will fix my problems a bit.

same problem, it will be wheel balancing, get it sorted or your tyres will fuck up, i left it coz i couldnt be bothered and when i took my wheel off the tyre was nearly bare on one side

Also try and check your tyres mate. I had this problem but as soon as i changed them the corsa drove like a dream!!

wheel balancing does not cause uneven tyre wear. wheel alignment causes uneven tyre wear.
G30 RG1, basically take your car and get it balanced & aligned. if it still shakes then post again & we'll take it from there!
