Any ideas?

My parents just got a Toshiba DVD recorder for 70 down from 100, I dont know what model it is... its very thin, wide and jet black.

Any other suggestions? I don't have HDTV or anything like that but if it can record as well as play DVDs then thats just a bonus.

All help appreciated.
