That's the original pin with the red plug taken out. Prise it out from the bottom with a thin screwdriver, then lever it out from the top. The red plug grips the thread of the metal rod. take it out and the rest of the pin lifts off.

I wrote a tutorial about this but RA hasns't posted up yet!

Chris, I have a limited supply at the moment but its no problem to get more, give me a shout when your ready.

Mav, cheers for that, I don't have Vauxhall pins and couldn't remember how mine came out.

There you go peeps, dead easy to change, small screwdriver and a two minute job
