I use GSD3's now as they last longer and seem to grip more overall.

I think this may be the problem and gunning it round a 90 degree bend at 80 mph and expecting the tyres to cope. The Corsa has to be one of the worst test beds for testing tyres on.

they look better in the flesh joe, had them against the car today, the standard 18s are lost in the 350z arches.

I had them both on my Clio Cup which is a slightly better test bed than a Corsa and didn't rate them. Always buy GSD3's now.

Its all about personal opinions though.

Couln't of put it better myself

These cars also eat clutches for breakfast and the labour is £700 alone. Mates one has done two clutches in 20k miles.

THe dynamics of a Golf versus a 350Z is very different and with a car being RWD and a known handfull you really can't afford to skimp on tyres.

I'm Sure Nissan ploughed quite a bit of money into this aspect of the car for the benefit of the owners to simply ignore?

don't talk crap, i bought a set of 20" wheels, have you seen the price of the tyres? its not standard 18s i'm buying the tyres for.

nothing can be worse than the original bridgestones, and if your mates has eaten 2 clutches in 20k and paid for them, he's clearly a mug. i can afford the car fine, i just dont see the point in spending twice the price for tyres, its not a track car and i didnt buy it to drive hard.

I thought the bridgestone potenzas they came with on the 18's were meant to be highly rated? Are they not very good then?

Like has been said, i'm personally go with the 350z owners rather than most people on here. I've had t1-s's and r's, still have 3 t1-s's and a michalin pilot exalto but I'm not able to compare them with anything and wouldn't know how they would last on 20 inch rims on a rear wheel drive 300 bhp car.
