Is the fuel pump internal or external on the 1.2 8v Spi M Reg Corsas?

Gotta replace for a 1.4 16v and need to know whether being an old car or not its got an internal pump or external.

Are they easy to take out and replace? Will I have to remove the tank?

no you can get to it by removing the rear seat

There will be lots of wires going into the fuel tank , should be going into a white object. Thats your pump. I think it un-clips and can then be pulled out. be VERY careful not to cause any sparks, and open all windows and doors to get rid of explosive fumes.
