Ive had this phone about a month now and its the 2nd time its broken, both times saying operation failed on my msgs anyone esle having this problem?

You can go here and try:

but the repair place will reflash it with the original firmware or they have a new update that's not been released to the general public as yet. Wotan server also does not have a new debrand or firmware update as yet either.

Mine did it a few times but I updated it and it hasn't done it since. Try updating it first.

Mine did this a few weeks back, I reset the phone and it was fine. Then the other day it did it again so reset it again and tried updating the firmware but the Sony Ericsson site said I already had the latest firmware?!
So I've sent mine back to O2 and they're sending out a replacement.

Same happened with mine,
Latest firmware from the sonyericsson site fixes this problem.

Sony Ericsson website also tells me I have the latest firmware. Not had the 'Operation Failed' problem again with this phone, but the camera's still wank.

i reset mine several times and it kept doing it after a while, dropped it in a glass of water by accident and decided it was time to go back. They replaced it no problem

Mine done this on the night my cam chain snapped (cunts!), I had to do a master reset, lost all my saved messages and contacts on the phone, games, themes etc etc
Proper fucked me off
If it does it one more time I'll accediently break it at work and I'll go back to my N80 for a while and they can keep it or send me a W960i

The new firmware solved it on mine. Before it was out, I used PC Suite to back the phone up and just restored it whenever it did it.
On another note, I've just discovered that if you have the Crystal or Laser Precision themes, then the wallpaper reacts to the way you're holding the phone. Clever use of the accelerometer IMO.

Everytime I try and update it says I have the latest version, currently on:

I've only got Laser Precision, Crystal and the O2 themes now since it went tits up

Looks like yours was updated on the 12-10-07 where as mine is 22-09-07
Will try and source a new version now....
