depends, if you want to struggle like a whore and get covered in sh1t then no, if you want to stay relatively clean and unfrustrated then it would be a good idea.

no need to get under the car atall, u can undo the bottom screws from the front of the car by sticking ure hand up, well easy.
i can take my front off in 1 minute now.
there is 5 screws at the bottom, 1 each side under the arch trim and 2 under the bonnet, of a 1 each side facing thte wheel
