Right in my other post i said i new big end bearings which tbh were well fucked.so done this!I now have a clanking noise from the top end and after a bit of head scratching have found this to be caused by the fact the crankshaft had snapped in the crank bottom timing sprocket.so im guessing the noise is pistons and valves hitting each other.

opinions please, and new engine? or new car? bearing in mind its a p reg x14xe with 146k on the clock!
