Right guys, I am fitting a Janspeed manifold ti my X16XE, but want to remove the SAI while I'm at it.
So far, I have removed the pump, and the mushroom from the manifold itself, and blocked up the small vacuum pipe over my the passenger side suspension turret.
Problem: On the manifold I have bought, the SAI hole is filled, but with what looks like putty and it can be moved by hand
My question is, what kind of air pressure is the SAI valve exerting in the manifold, or if the putty that is there at the moment will be fine.
Cheers

sorry can't help, but does removing it throw up a fault code on the ECU? or do you leave something plugged in?

Get the hole welded up
Removing SAI does not throw up any fault codes
