There's hardly any room to play with in the bay though, i'm guessing the airbox needs to be taken out, then route it around the back of the engine somehow?

no damage aslong as you can change gear at the right time
whats the reason it snapped? pressure plate on clutch gone?

Pull off if your clutch cable is snapped? I mean yeah you could use the starter motor in first, but thats fucking dangerous?

Its not ideal but it will get you home or to a garage, a lot of clutch repair people do that when they come to pick your car up

start it up in gear
pull into netrual before you stop
change gear between 3000rpm and 4000rpm and give it a blip and will slip into next gear nicely with out using the clutch

Yeah, i drove it home last night (20 miles), and drove it to work today... it was gay stopping at lights etc, hopefully getting sorted tomorrow though

i had to take the battery, battery tray, and the air pump thingy (that sits in front of the battery) out aswell...right pain in the ass!! good luck

Mine snapped today, going to replace it tomorrow... £13.50 from the my local parts man.
Last time it took me ages to get the begger in so I'm hoping it goes more smoothly this time! Good luck with yours Whittie.

Fitted mine today... took about 10 minutes. Turned out I'd ordered the 8v version last time hence it being a b*stard to fit (it about 2-3 inches shorter)!

i paid £30 each time i snapped mine
then paid £180 for a new clutch and cable
