Maybe that was part of the decision, get them more known over here. Or maybe the big boys that we know weren't interested!

Who?

The saints aren't very well known over here, but the chargers are, they are a very good team, and i think theyll be challenging for the superbowl again next season

Great news for UK NFL fans, i hope to get to go and see this game

The patriots are the biggest team i think over here, or the colts

But the NFL UK guy said that it doesn't work to schedule a patriots game over here this year, but doesnt rule them coming over in the future

One of the main problems with the bigger teams, is they have sponsor agreements at their stadiums, so therefore have to play the games in the USA, and sorting them to be away from home didnt't fall right this year

Great news.
Although i hope it isnt a week before a make or break England game the daft bastards.

The Saints and Chargers are two big-ish teams, and of course the target audience is NFL fans, as such it doesnt matter if non fans havnt heard of them.

Imagine for example Spurs vs West ham being played in the states. It might not be the names that yer average Chuck on the street would know, but proper soccer (yeuuck) fans would do.

Incidentally, i am a massive fan of American Football. And i would say that the best known teams/franchises over here would be:
Cowboys
Dolphins
Not because of their recent records but because they were huge when american football was huge in the mid 80's

Although the two they have selected arent quite as well known, they arent exactly Baltimore Ravens or Carolina Panthers.

Hope im able to get tickets this year

And as for playing it before an England game, i hope they dont but the pitch wasnt that bad and the england players get payed enough money to be able to play on that sort of surface!

I used to be a big fan back in the mid 90s

IMO the most well known would be

Cowboys
Giants
Raiders
Packers
49ers ( )
Dolphins

Cowboys are the biggest sports franchise in the world.

Pats are not really that big over here bar they won everything because they spent a lot like Chelsea.

The two biggest teams would be Redskins and Cowboys.
