quick update:

Fitted my 1.6 inlet and 1,8 tb and 1.4 injector and it generally feels a bit quicker but at 4.5k it seems to find a bit more power

Ive also fitted some 288 v6 brakes but had a little bit of trouble with the pads catching my wheel and the back plates somehow got bent causing lots of squealing,

all sorted though now

until i drove home and my cv joint shattered, so now my car is abandoned on a farm awaiting recovery, although just got a phone to say it will be 52 pounds inc vat but atleast i can get it home

Vaux Lad was right enough then, he told me that there is a wee increase from it, but the biggest increase is from the cam, get it fitted

little update:

Still not fixed anything yet, tried to fit the new shaft and cv joint but it turns out my diff and box are fubared, seems the driveshaft clip has come off inside the box and got caught in the teeth shearing them off and causing the n/s shaft to lock tearing the cv joint in half

so for the last month my car has been sat in my dads scrappers being neglected as getting hold of a garage to do the work has been a pain in the arse

things are looking up though, my car goes in a week on monday for:
a new gearbox
new clutch
new shaft
rear braided brake lines fitting
camshaft, cambelt and tensioner
two new rear tyres
new bilsteins fitting
mot
and a new wing and poss slam panel

although itll then go to a bodyshop for painting, semi smooth boot, sideskirts fitting, dents removed, scratches, mirrors smoothed, gsi front smoothed...

cant wait to get it back, felt lost without it...
