What's the point in a feedback system if you can't give accurate feedback?

It would work better, and not be too difficult to carry out if negative feedback is rare as they say.

That in the event of a non paying buyer, the seller can leave negative but the buyer who hasn't paid cannot leave any

Vice-versa, if buyer has paid, and seller hasn't sent, use the same principle

So for example I refunded someone I didn't want to deal with - he left ME bad feedback despite it not costing him anything. I can't leave him bad, when my only crime was not wanting to be scammed?

This is why I don't buy unless I'm collecting. Too many dodgy people and not enough support when you fall foul of it.

Good.

Some fucker is telling me I haven't paid for an item at the moment, even though the money has been taken from my paypal account, and it's showing as unclaimed, making it his fault.

If he can't ruin my feedback, that can only be a good thing.

Just hope he doesn't leave feedback 'til May

Agreed and I can see both sides, however as mainly a buyer I have never bought anything off ebay without instantly paying for it. Majority of times via paypal. As far as I'm concerned that is my part over and feedback should be left by the seller. However they tend to hold onto the feedback until you have left yours. Most transactions go smoothly but the odd time things go missing, turn up damaged or are not what you ordered. This should not effect my feedback as it was paid for instantly and received by the seller. Have to be careful about what is left and to who upon issue resolvement, incase a spiteful negative is left.
