help....please.....just started happening now......when car is stationary its ticking over at 2500 rpm.

its a 1.2 8v and the engine was rebuilt just before christmas!

sticking idle control valve; they're £70 ish to replace, but after everyone told me you can't, I took mine out, cleaned it with degreaser and put it back together. that was 5 years ago and I've never had a problem since

vacuum leak will also do that, but i'd look at IACV first
