Noticed it making a whistling noise on the way home. Sounds like it could be the air box or sumthing, which is drilled but hasnt made this noise before.
Sounds like some sorta highly tuned skyline  
Any ideas folks? Its a 1.2 8v Vegas '97

id say a vacuum leak on either the inlet or another vacuum pipe.

Have you fitted a new alternator belt? Could be that.

just had my belts tensioned and they're whistling a bit atm - could be the same thing

Noise doesnt happen anymore lol
May have been a bit of dirt in the airbox or something?
