sounds good, wheels and suspension are always a good start, better then other mods

you could do both for a lot less then a grand, but you dont NEED coilovers on a road going car..

i'd save it for a better car IMO, you'll only end up regretting wasting the money.

i was thinking coilovers may be a bit overkill but i want my car adjustable so i can have it set low for normal driving but have the option to slam it for shows.

i might just get a 60mm lowering kit but i dont know if that will be low enough ??

i will be keeping the car for atleast another year yet maybe 2 as i have allready have a crash against my name and insurance has gone stupidly high for me

Arden blue corsa on 60mm lowering kit with speedlines.....IMO it's low enough for any occassion. For coilovers that are fully height adjustable front and rear you will be lookin at a set probably the same value as the car for a decent set and really not worth it

that car is kind of exactly how i want mine

but after spending the past hour on dubmeister.co.uk ime contemplating a set of ronal turbo's or borbet bs's and the et on them is 37 and 35 respectively.

what kind of arch work am i looking at to get them tucked under the arches?

hmmm,to get it down 60mm you might just need the arches rolled as am i right in saying ronal turbos are 15" otherwise possibly some euro style wider arches,I'm not an expert in that field to be honest! there are a few people on here who would know better than me and who also have ronal turbos etc

why not spend it on a car?

i am going to spend this money on my car tbh one way or another, i do respect other peoples opinions but sometimes they dont suit everyone as ste l said, its a hobby, ive spent much much more on fishing and rc and never got any money back from it but thats a payoff compared to the fun or sense of achievement you get when it finaly goes right

i also have a part time job and dont drink go out much etc so i usualy have a bit more cash than most people my age and perfer to be tinkering with the car than out

I wouldnt really say clothes was more of an investment than spending on cars, id rather buy clothes myself than styling a car, but I wouldnt call it an investment by buying clothes. Id spend it on a decent engine!

get some decent 2nd hand alloys.

(you can sell them and get money back in future).

lowering springs are cheap.

backbox is cheap as well.

well after trawling ebay i have found some bbs replica rims and i have kind a fell in love with them

they are et 38 aswell so i rekon with a bit of arch modding they should go nicely on either a 60mm drop or coilovers

Exactly!

Spend the money on what YOU want not what others say you should.

I've spent a small fortune on my Corsa, which i'll never see again, but i don't regret it. I've been to loads of shows/places with it and met new friends from doing it too.

I would invest in a set of coilovers/decent suspension (Bilsiens etc) and some wheels.

well thanks guys, just need to wait for my cheque to clear and then the coilovers shall be bought first so i can make 100% sure i get the right wheels i want

btw using your corsa jimmy as a bit of inspiration, i love the one of touches such as the astra arches and the super smooth body work
