Been thinkin bout converting my new 1.4xe corsa to a 2.0, someone tells me the n/s shaft is the same size as an astra gsi.

Is this true or false?

Also, if i were to convert the rear drums to discs, what brake system should i use (ie astra gsi/cav etc??) and what handbrake cables are used?

amen to that they just lock up most of the time and braking in to corners can get rather twitchy

Iv had a shot of one with front astra gsi brakes and they were poor IMO
(sayin that, im comparing to a Cossie with Mintex Extreme pads)

(pads were maybe knackered right enough...)

rear brakes are useful in rallying and track driving because the drum brakes heat u too much, expand so the automatic shoe tensioner puts it out further and when the drum cools back down it shrinks and jams
