Hi can anybody give me some suggestions to a corsa b 1.2 16v 1999 it has a flat spot when reved standing still and hesitates now and again when being driven it gives the impression of either lack of fuel or something electrical breaking down it has had a full service last month and just sailed through its mot i have re checked the plugs and tried another coil pack and am on the verge of trying a crankshaft sensor because it seems to be pinking as well any idea please

Air flow Meter is the usual culprit.

it is worse first thing in a morning coughing and spluturing as if it a fuel prob wait five mins and it is fine

try changing your airflow meter and idle control valve and this should solve the problem. Mine used to do this when i 1st bought the car but now in never misses a beat!
