ok here goes got a T reg 1.2 16v corsa b was driving the other night along motorway doin about 70 when the car jus lost all power no lights came up on the dash before hand or nothing! car wouldnt start again so had to be towed home! when i turn the ignition the car tries to start but seems as if there is no spark as in it wont fire up!i been told it may be head gasket as it seems like theres no compression in the cylinders?? any help appreciated cheers!

Unlikely to be the headgasket if it went so suddenly, what makes you say that there is no compression?
Does your ECU light come on with the ignition key?

thats jus what i been told about the compression! ecu light come on when i turn the ignition yer but dont it usually come on then go off when the car starts??

Cant on a 1.2 16v
Try starting it with the spare key, immobilizer chip could be up shit creak.
Otherwise, start looking at sensors etc:
No spark suggests a dodgy coil pack!

Strange you said that mate, was driving home along the M6 on Sunday night and the exact same thing happened to me. No ECU lights came on, car just lost power until the engine cut around 1k. Got mine towed back to uni and 10mins later it started fine, even though i tried for around 15mins to get it started on the hard shoulder. Mine was a 20XE though but same problem.

yer it jus seemed to loose all power another problem i've noticed yesterday is the water has dissapeared for the radiator was fine before this happened and when i fill it up jus seems to dissapear no sign of it leakin anywhere either??

Are you sure you cant flash the codes on a 1.2?
If the engine is doing nothing at all then it can be the crank sensor, nothing happens without it. I once tested mine while i was being towed, ignition on, put it in gear and left the clutch up as if you were bump starting it, your rpm gauge should go up to the engine speed even if its not actually firing.
Other than that you might be best off getting an auto electrician, he will plug his gadget in and see all the values from the engine sensors and tell you what the problem is

nah its all standard air filter! it does try to to start the starter motor turns and everything but jus doesnt seem to fire up thats the best i can explain tbh
