he played in a charity match for radcliffe borough (local team) along with lee sharp and some of the stuff you heard him shout was embarrasing. pretty much every father from my town had taken their kids along to watch and some were leaving at half time as they'd had enough. we found him to be funny tbh but i can imagine how parents would feel. i honestly dont think he realised what he was saying.

Gazza is a legend in footballing terms. Could easilly have been the best player in the world if he had kept his head straight.

Met him in Leeds once in bar, top top bloke, chatted to us for ages, and even bought a round

So sad to see him end up like this, hope he gets better soon

He was sectioned under the Mental Health Act and sent to an institution for retards with no chance of recovery.

"We're glad to have him back!" said Kevin Keegan!.

The events of Gazza's final moments of sanity have been revealed.

He was caught in a Gateshead hotel, in bed with a teletubbie.

Apparently he was fucking La La.

Very sad state of affairs, he is a footballing Hero to many people but hopefully if any good can come from it then it would be to display how bad things can go.

I have read a lot on him, apparently he is still like a big kid at heart, he literally spent ages on the field before and after training, helping the youngsters etc as he just always wanted to play.

Unfortunately that doesn't go hand in hand with his other enjoyment.

Such a pity that so many of the greats have such a troubled side as well.

I wonder how different things could have been if he had signed for Manchester United as promised instead of signing for Tottenham when Fergie went on holiday? He would probably have protected him far better.

The guy is mentally unstable, it doesnt matter who he played for or who his manager was, if he was going to crack he was going to crack - and he did.

Yes but a lot of things are not aided by peoples lifestyle habits and I am sure even you will agree with me that his lifestyle away from the game left a lot to be desired, thats where management comes in.

I am not saying for a fact things would have been monsterously different and he would have been a perfect role model under another manager but some people can manage the talent/trouble ratio far better and as much as I despise Man U, I think Fergie would have got far more from him as a player than he eventually achieved.

It's also worth noting he has cracked up since not being involved in the game and his is known as having OCD.
