Hey guys my Handbrake no longer holds my car if its on any kind of hill. So I think I need to tighted or replace the cables is this an easy job to do ? or would it be easier to take it to a garage ?

easy if its not siezed as the adjuster on the back axle is prone to seizing

just get as much wd-40 on as you can try clean the thread up abit then. tighten it up. tbh id just replace it or check you shoes aren't worn

i tried tightening mine up and snapped the cable along the back axle so had to replace the lot

My handbrake only does 4 clicks and doesn't really stop the car. Going to check the shoes tomorrow to see what the conditions like

well I tryed to tighten my cable tonight but no joy. The adjuster was not seized so the cable tighhtend ok but the car still wont hold when handbrake is on.
