how much should i be looking to pay for a 1.4 engine and gearbox out of a l-reg astra? and what else might i need to put it in my 1ltr corsa?

Depends on mileage etc. But around £100-£150.
You'll need the mounts, shafts, gearbox, loom, ecu and transponder.
