Someone drove into the rear of me.

I need to claim for repairs to my car.

Do I need to contact my own insurance Co?

If so will they count it as a claim on me?

I just phoned the isn co of the woman that hit me & they said I need to phone my ins co to get it sorted & they will claim it back from them. Is this correct?

Phone back and ask them how to make a third party claim on her policy and keep phoning back until you're able to do this. Involving your own insurer is just hassle you don't need.

Ok cool, what should I say to them?

I asked how to proceed with a claim & they fobbed me off telling me to arrange it with my own ins.co.

As ian said, try claiming yourself on her insurance. When my car was in a bump recently my insurance company (more than) were useless and tried to sting me for losing my NCB. I did it myself, got the repair quotes myself, arranged the hire car myself and made sure that the other parties insurance were aware of this. they were not very helpfull at first so I mentioned that I would seek independant legal help if we could not sort it between oursefles amicably.

I chose the garage that did the repairs, I got them to pay for it directly and them to pay for the hire car directly once all work was finished. I ended up with my NCB untoutched and my car sorted with minimal fuss, My insurabce company werent involved at all.
