Any ideas where this is on the x16xe engine and how to correctly plug it? Also, is it electric? And if it is, what do you do with the connector? Cheers, Rob.

It's on the back of the inlet manifold, passenger side of engine.

It's a bit of an arse to get to. It's a lack cylinder shaped thingy.

To blank it you get a blanking plate form Vaux or make your own with a coke can or something. Leave it plugged in or you'll get a management light on.

Found the actual wiring / blanking plate all connected, its plugged in with 2 pipes going somewhere to the manifold that I couldnt follow. However, its floating in mid air basically....not connected onto the manifold or head etc. Is there any pics of where it should go?

that isnt the egr valve thats the fuel tank vent valve, the egr is bolted in with two torx 40s i think with a four pin plud into the top of it, like dean says its a bastard to get to , u will have to take out battery and header tank to get to it , and at the same time take the icv off and give it a claen as its easier to access the icv when the egrs off , the only reason i say this is because the icv will fuk up in time so clean it up and you wont have the to take everything off again
