my ecu light just come on and dies at low revs plus no speed o no more just stop

i got 5p stuck in my fag lighter which shorted the speedo fuse

would stall no speedo and the milage didnt change

My friend did same! He changed the crank sensor amongst other thinking it would fix the car cutting out!
