what is the best stuff to prime corsa arches and bumpers ready for colour coding ? was going to use halfords yellow filler primer.. is this any good?

go to halfords and get plastic primer... you can get a proper bumper one but theres about 3tins to go with it but yeah just get the plastic primer thats all i've done

you will need to obviously take them off
theny ou will need to rub them down with some pritty agressive emery/ wet N dry about 400 grade till you cant see any more pips/grained effect.
then you would rub it down with 600 grit till fairly smooth/ not got any gouges in it from the 400 grit
clean the bugger up use pannel wipes
then shoot about 3 coats of plastic primer..
leave to dry for 48h
1500 grit wet and dry to flatten out the primer.
panel wipe again
spray 3 to 6 coats of colour (depending on how well you spray)
then let to dry for 48h
then lots of water and some fairy washing up liquid with 1500 grade wetNdry gently rub it till you cant see any more orange peal. sould only take a few minuits to get this done.
then one more light coat of colour..
leave for 48h
and give it a pollish...
will look the nuts i garantee

un less youve had the car resprayed and has been laqured then i wouldnt.... would look to shiny... as the cars never came laqured

Depends what colour your car is, The metallic colours are laqured arent they?

my gsi is carabic blue and its not laqured, i have just sprayed up a set of door handles and they are an exact colour match and shine match without laqure....

My sport was L291 (arden blue) and when i colour coded the boot lock it wasn't the correct match without laquer.

Yeh i sprayed all my arches myself and it didnt look right without laquer on. Mines flame red too so its not even metalic.
