As above.
Just took the corsa for its mot, and its failed on quite a few things

One being b-pillar cracks, which are literally 4mm long on each side, the tester went off his head saying they have weakened the top seat belt mount etc etc, and that it needs a new complete panel welded in

I promptly left before getting into an arguement.

Anyone else failed on them before?

yeah mine did,he reckoned the seat belt anchor was in the wrong place (design fault) and caused the cracking.I ended up welding them and grinding them back and respraying them.Passed after that!

Yeah, he mentioned about the seat belt anchorage point, and that the crack was weakening the mount etc.

Seems pretty stupid when a LOT of corsa's pass with the exact same fault.

They used to pass but its a new thing now that they fail, due to it being part off the seatbelt mounting area

Just weld the cracks and it will pass

mine passed with cracks both sides. i got told by the mot tester that if i ever took it to a different garage and was worried about failing because of them, all i have to do is put some duck tape over them. apparantly the testers arent allowed to remove anything from the car when testing it.might be worth a try?
