alright.

basically when i put my foot right to the floor the car reaches around a 4000revs and then doesnt go above it and the engine management light comes on. put when i raise my foot a bit its fine~?


any ideas~?

you car is rev limiting at 4000rpm because it is running in limp mode. there is a fault with the engine electronics which is why the engine management light is on. Ideally the car needs to be plugged into a tech 2 diagnostic computer to find out what the problem is

do you think if i reset the ECU that could help it? maybe a long shot though. but when i raise my foot the revs go up liek it should

mine does this. i dont drive it atm though so i'm not too fussed. if i increase the revs gently it will go all the way up to the limiter. if i plant the accel pedal quickly it revs up to about 3500 and wont go any higher. its a 12v like yours. eml doesn't come on though so i cant have a fault code read.

air flow meter had the exact same problem and changed the afm and its been fine

tbf i'm not too bothered as gm parts are as unreliable as others.

Definitely the AFM.
i think warren g sells proper GM stuff but its been used for testing

I had the same problem, replaced the air flow meter but no joy. Ive taken it into the garage this morning and will let you know whats up incase it helps as soon as i know

i'm gonna change the afm. looks favourite. i heard that you can unplug it to check if its working.
