Conversion done last year the the car has been overfueling for some time now.
When car is started from cold it is very "groggy" and will need a hevey rig foot to drive through te jerking.
I have done saerch and some one mentioned plugs and leads which i replaced last year.
Octane plug? - WTF is this?
lamba sensor - does this monitor gases or fuel?

octane plug will be near to the fuel pump relay(it was on mine anyway).it's a little brown plug with A and B on it.it's for if using higher octane fuel,it advances the timing iirc.don't think that would make it overfuel though.have you tried a new cts?

take it to a garage and get it put on the gas analyser that will tell you if it's overfueling.but i would bet it's your cts that's playing up.is your eml light on?

My friends XE was overfuelling and running a bit shit.
We traced the lambda wire back and found it was rubbing on the alternator and one wire had gone through.
Maybe worth a look.
