Got a weird issue with the car
Usually after breaking from motorway speeds as I reach a junction the car will just stall. Occasionally when sitting in traffic the revs will suddenly climb 500rpm or so then drop and stall. When you restart it the rev counter doesn't work? Sometime the emissions light then comes on as well.
its a 51 plate 1.2, any ideas?

tht probs will be ur idel control valve. it happend to me mine went straight to red line. but then in the morning it kept stalling. it cost about £75 for a new one.

Would that explain the rev counter then not working after the stall?
Because of that I was thinking it might be something more electrical?

yes, no issues with the speedo just the rev counter

i know theres a the problem that if your speedo dosent work it cuts the car out
could it be the same with the rev counter maybe?
