Tried to video it but it didnt really come out

Kind of sounds like there is a bit of plastic rattling around on the rocker cover. Or one of those old 1.3 ka/fieasta engines.
Happens when the engine is fairly cold just after the sai switches off and ocasionally if you give the car some beans and then pull over and let it idle.
What could it be, bocked followers or something?
Didnt bother me but its getting worse ie lasting for nearly the whole of short journeys now rather then going away by the time I got to the end of the road.

Not a loose cam cover as I dont have one fitted. I have just put on the rocker cover and that is all torqued up correctly. Timing belt etc all have not been touched recently.
Sounds interal to me, somewhere in the top end

Yer, used to quiten down nice and quickly but now takes a good 15mins
I am wondering if giving the engine a flush out at the next oil change will help. Although it had new oil less then 500miles ago so shouldnt be clogged really.

if its a tap tap tap
prob a dodgy tappet,
if a scrapping, poss back cam cover rubbing, try taking the front cam cover off to pin point the noise better, use a screw driver might help
