...just been telling my father inlaw about this method who thought it was very interesting, and wondered if there was something similar he could use for his car. As i understood it, the paperclip test only works for Vauxhall cars.
He has a Fiat Multipla - stupid electrics in the car - but will he need to go to a Fiat garage for a diagnostic check?
Any replies are appreciated!

Further to this, I have a Corsa B 1.4 16v W reg. is a paperclip test possible on this car as i have read alot of places that cars later than 2000 dont have the facility to do this test. cant find a definitive answer for mine though.

personally i can only comment on Corsa Bs (93-99) it works, cant see why it wouldnt work on any other car, irrespective of make or model providing the right connections can be found/got at to use the paperclip!
