Wet n Dry - the rough stuff to start off with - to smooth the dimples down on the bumper ... and lets face it, no one likes a dimply bum-per now do they?

As it gets smoother, use finer grade wet n dry till its super smooth... then give it a good clean with soapy water or white spirit.... u gonna paint it yourself? Ive just done mine.. plastic primer (dont have to use white primer on white pain cus you cant see where you've been)... and just be brave

DIY shops, Halfords - it's cheap.

The higher the grade the finer it is.

From halfords plastic primer is £5 a can.
Did you primer the whole bumper with spray cans? How many did ya use?

My mate and I did my bumper with a compressor. It used about £4 worth of hibuild primer. Much more cost effective if you can get hold of one or know someone with one

I started on 80 grit to easily get rid of the dimples.
Then used 240 grit and finished it off with 1200.
An electric sander is also very useful

I rubbed down most of mine with it still attached but you do eventually have to take it off to get to some harder places.
And its alot easier to spray without it on the car.
